I have a120 Ducato 2013 reg14 and there are two plugs one each side at the front inside wing, which look as if they're for fog lights but are not live or connected, does any one know if I need to put switch in the small dash where the blanking plugs are to make a conection to these plugs, so as to fit two lamps in the front fender

Thanks but I want to make use of the existing wiring

Then you may to order a new body computer with fog light function enabled, but £1000 might be a bit expensive just to fit fog lights!

Go looking round your van and you'll find a lot of apparently unconnected plugs in the looms. It's because the looms are generic, but with the network architecture on modern vehicles, simply connecting something to the loom no longer works. It has to be enabled in the ECUs, and it can't be enabled if it's not already mapped into the system. Body computers are factory programmed to each individual vehicle with the specification ordered at production.

You can check with MultiEcuScan. Connect to your BCU and see if fog lights are available but not enabled. If they're listed you may be able to enable them and proxy align the system, but most likely if the van was delivered without them, you won't have the option.

Edit: Sorry, I mentioned fog lights above, but the same applies to DRLs although even less likely you could activate them. Just confused by your reference to fog light wiring and DRLs in the thread title!
