Hi all, new here....
I have a 2005 Ducato X244 and I am trying (in vain) to get the cabin light to work either manually or automatically when the door is opened. I have taken it off and checked the bulbs are working and cleaned switch contacts etc just in case.If I disconnect the whole unit and use a lithium battery on the pins then I can get the bulb to glow but no chance when fitted back.
Upon further inspections I have noticed that when the drivers door is open there is no current on one of the pins but when the door is closed the current drops away, surely this is not correct? should it not be the other way around? I have looked at the door pins and two wires are present (it is not the sort that I am used to as it does not appear to earth when door opened like the usual pins)

All help will be appreciated
many thanks
