Exhaust silencer drips water from the seams when cold, I've had it back to Iveco/Fiat dealer who told me it would have small holes for condensation to runout of the exhaust. When I got home I had a look underneath and there are no small holes in the silencer. It looks like water id coming out of the seams as it is beginning to corrode. Mine is still under warranty, I have asked for it to be replaced but was told they wouldn't because they said it had holes in. Obviously a fob off! Anyone else come across this problem? not sure what to do next.:confused:

Can’t say I’ve ever seen this or had any issues with exhausts, but then I do big mileage all the time as it’s a working Van not motor home, my 2 thoughts would be
A, does the vehicle get ran regularly and does it get hot, (if just quick journeys OR just been ran on the drive to charge battery etc) condensation will build and not burn off, leading to corrosion, like an old dears shopping car, uses an exhaust a year.

B, exhausts are or were in my motor trade days, a wear and tear item that wears differently in each owners driving styles so I’d not covered by manufacturers warranty, unless it fails in an uncharacteristic way,

Call into a different agent : dealer.

Get them to check the system.

IF.. it is SOLID.. but they say it is 'normal'

You can always add drain holes yourself

@3mm drill in a dremel ;)

Just 1 hole. At the lower edge of a box.

The petrol engined small FIAT cars all have these.
