Hi,
I have a 1999 Ducato 230L, 1.9TD (DHX) 66kW with a ML5 gearbox.
5th gear has failed and I'm trying to source either a standard ML49x33 (49 tooth) larger gear (part number: 9626805480) or a complete ML45x33 or ML43x33 gear set. I don't have the part numbers for these gear sets and I would prefer the ML45x33.
But it seems that these parts are no longer made.
So, does anyone know what the part numbers are for the lower ratio gear sets or where I might be able to buy any of these gears from?

try GBpartsonline they have the 43x33 in stock £119 it listed as fitting the 1.3 and 1.9D if you contact them with specs over phone they should be able to check for you also have no quibble return service so worth a shot

A quick update... I managed to get the a new complete 49x33 gear set from Bart Ebben dot com in Holland.

I have the same problem.I can't find the 5th gear e syncro for my ducato.Is a 230 1.9 td 1999 ( the 5 is 49/33)the fiat codes are syncro 9567641788 ,5th gear 9626805480.

So you called gbpartsonline and bartebben and they couldnt help? If thats the case I would try axelaugustin in Germany.

The synchro is available (under that part number) at https://coastalmotorhomes.co.uk

There are also listed replacement 53x31 (larger and smaller versions) 5th gear purportedly for that box which may give you options.
