Hi Peeps. Air bag warning light came on today on panel of my motorhome. Is it worth checking out the wiring under the two front swivel seats ? Had weeks of heavy rain in Portugal so could this have contributed to the problem? Thanks for your input. Al

It costs nothing to check the wiring but spending 30 euro on an cable and adapter for the multiecuscan is thw best investment you could make long term

Just for the record, where is the air-bag ecu mounted ? Under the bonnet near the engine ecu or behind the dash somewhere. I feel sure that water must have had some part in the problem that I have with my motorhome as rain ain't stopped in weeks where I am. Al

Hi your airbag ecu is on cab floor in middle remove battery cover then lower panel below middle glove box and you will see it held on with 3 nuts ,the most common fault is an internal fault with unit , a new ecu unit must be proxy aligned Iv never had one with water damage

crashdata.co.uk repair these SRS ECUs from £30, 48 hour return. A fraction of the cost of a new unit. But you'd need to check that it is the unit at fault first. They claim the most common fault is data corruption in the unit.

Hi is tha airbag ecu in the same position on a 2015 model 2.3 multijet. As I have an air bag light on, my mechanic has tried to reset but diagnostic machine won’t reset fault. So he as recommended I go to a main dealer.

There was a recall on airbag ecus for Ducatos MY 2014-2015-- I'd suggest corcai suggestion of ECU scan is better way forward. Had a guy local to me (S Wales) who had run around silly looking for a wiring connection fault.. I plugged my ECUscan kit in.. diag'd faulty airbag ECu and he had it replaced FOC after contacting Fiat Italy direct..
