Technical Fiat ducato 2.0 jtd 2005 eml light on no codes

With the eml light on it runs on but If I put throttle on and turn the engine off it stops straight away but if I leave it ticking over it runs on for a couple of seconds but if the light is off most of the time it stops immediately if it does run on I know the next time I start it the eml light will be on

I took it for a 60 mile run today after a couple of stalls and eml light I put in rest the light and done a 30 miles with no problems I turned around and headed back eml light came on and stalled while costing I reset it and ran fine all the way home got back went to shop's and round the doors took it to my brother's he had a nother reader different from mine just pulled up and the light comes on again he plugged his in and came up with the same thing no codes he has a laptop one he is going to see if he can download the fiat program to see if there is any hidden file. Also when I look at the vin number it's scrambled could that be the ecu on its way out

Hi I do recall on 244 the ecu bolted to front left inner wing their is an earth wire behind ecu that earths unit check it is tight this would cause your trouble of no codes now you’ve tried different reader

Thanks I'll have a look at it it's strange it seems to change its problem on a daily basis at first I thought fuel then maybe electrical starting to sound like electrical, weard I have had it for over two years now and never had a problem very reliable never had to spend anything on it and within a couple of months it has been eating all my cash and time with suspension stearing brakes tyres all in the spate of a cupple of months

Thanks whine0 I'll have a look at it I have hopefully found the problem with it cutting out and eml light comeing on I let it run low on fuel about two gal left and put a full bottle of injector cleaner in ran for a couple of hours and the light started staying off for longer each time I've driven it around with no problems since I did try running it out so I could see if I could get a low fuel pressure code wish I hadn't as I didn't get a code but the problem came back so I got another bottle and stuck it in same thing after a while light went out I am going to clean the tank out at a later date

Last week after it ran into trouble I thought it was the problem

If you're still having issues I would look at the tip of the pressure regulator under a decent magnifier you may find the filter is clogged. Theres a good close up picture by a polish guy but I can't find it at the moment but these will give you an idea of the crap you might find.

Driven it around for a couple of days and seams to have sorted it no eml light and no stalls will need to sort out the code issues thanks for all your help everyone

The injector cleaner worked but the fault came back so I striped the regulator off and give it a good clean with wd 40 and it's spot on now thanks for all your help
