I am trying to find radiator hoses for a 1989 2.5 D Ducato based Hymer motorhome.
All the usual parts places say they no longer stock these hoses, I am trying at Gates but they need to know the exact engine type.

How do I find out the exact engine type?
Also
Can anyone recommend somewhere that can source parts for these old vans.

Convoluted hoses will be the best answer although they look bad and be sure to get them big enough on diameter as they will flow less water than smooth hoses.

Fiat agencies are dumping spares by the skip-load now, anybody like yourself and myself running a Fiat over 15 years old is up against it, always try the pattern parts makers before you try the Fiat dealer.

I recently tried to buy the bolts for hanging the wheel on when changing wheels, that also clamp the brake drums on my 1993 Ducato 10, the Fiat agency didn't even have them on their microfilm or computer inventory any more ! I think they want us all to buy new cars from them.
