Hi. Have any of you modified the air filter to get rid of the four crap screws holding the top on? Just spent the afternoon removing the last screw that refused to budge and it was the worst one to get at. Considering sawing slots into the existing screws for conventional flat blade screwdriver for next filter change.

hi . i just cut slots on for flat headed screw driver then a blob of grease

I've replaced them years ago with stainless wood screws of the same length.

I've also replaced mine this year with stainless steel sellf-taper's screws of the same length. old ones took about 20mins to remove !! also rusted up no witness marks on the slots !!
After my local Fiat agent failed to change the air filter at a service claimed they had taken it out a cleaned it ! (at a 30k service ) !! I won't be going back to them again
