If you trace back he wires from the fans there should be a box like this I believe with the relays inside.





Signals for the relays should come from pins 19 & 20 on connector on the ecu and the 99455420 temperature sensor should go to pins 84 and 85.



Does yours have air conditioning and there is also a resistor inserted in the fan cowling.

Yes, I have had the box that contain the relays apart and as far as I can tell they are OK. They both have 12v on them. I do not know where the ecu is situated, could you please advise? I am pretty sure the temp sensor 99455420 is just for the temperature guage on the dashboard unless you know different. The vehicle does not have air conditioning, is the resistor on the fan cowling only fitted when the vehicle has air conditioning?

If it's like my 2.8jtd 244 the ECU is mounted on the inner wing inside the engine compartment on the RHS when looking at engine from front (near side)
