I've got one fitted to my new van, working with Uconnect sat nav DAB head unit,
Dealer fitted it, works good, gives a wide angle/fish eye view and no guide/distance markings, the latter is not overly happy with, as the wide view or curved view gives weird perspective, guess I'll get used to it

thanks for your info. compare to other camera , I like this brake light camera.

It looks smart, I can only compare to the old universal square bolt to the van black cameras, feeding a 7" clip to a rear view mirror screen, looked cheap (camera paint flakes off after a year) but worked a treat) and bring rear view mirror mounted, it's the natural place to look when reversing, not down at the stereo.
Will post you some pictures later today. Just heading out in mine, so you can see

Hi Neil

thank you.

They don't give the fish eye effect, I noticed this the most when reversing and there's cars parked say in a car park, so I'm reversing at say 45 degree angle to parked cars.
It will show at the edge of screen an object looking like it's close to corner of bumper, but when looking down side of van in mirror, I'm nowhere near

Hope this helps

OK , thank you. it is very nice.

Just doesn't have reverse guide markings to aid distance

The aftermarket option on my old van, screen had two av inputs so I added second camera to act as rear view mirror (fitters wired it up so it was always on, didn't auto show reverse when you selected reverse gear) just switch between views. This system I loved, due to a more natural position of screen

Hi Jessica

Finally had chance to capture the odd view this camera shows

See the lamp post, cam makes it look like you're about to hit it.
But mirror view your well clear,

Takes some getting used to over the better view of my old aftermarket camera (with the guide lines) IMG_1480966240.672227.jpgIMG_1480966249.348921.jpg

I have the same camera/brake light combo. I found it easy to install, ran the main camera cable around within the vans framework in the roof corners aboove the sliding door then managed to fish it through to can, above the head lining and down the left windscreen pillar to the head unit. Rather than wiring into reverse lights I added a green rocker switch so that I can just turn it on when I feel like it. The first unit I had only lasted about five months. It's was fine for about 2 months then started to flicker a lot. The night vision wouldn't work very well at all and then the image became very darker and slowly it just gave up. I then replaced the unit and hope this one will last longer.
