1) If the engine immobliser warning light comes on while the vehicle is moving, this means that the system is running a self-test (e.g. due to a voltage drop). Now the dash clock resets itself occasionally, everything is pointing to a voltage drop but does anyone have any ideas as to where the voltage drop may be.

I am not an expert, but maybe it helps.


We had a similar problem a couple of years ago. The problem was a loose earth connection behind the bumper (rear side).
 
I had a similar problem with seemingly constant low voltage on mine.. also an earth-connection, fixed it with a solid earth connection between the negative battery pole anda bolt on the right hand side shock mount...

I meant "right side" and not "rear side" Sorry
