Hello dears, i have a fiat ducato 2008 2.3 multijet that starts the engine, but after moving few kms shuts down. It restarts agian but continue stopping after moving few distance. This main problem started 2 months ago without getting fix, we replaced high pressure pump, clean injectors line, replaced timing band & water pump, but the problem continues.

What should i do?

Have you had the fault codes checked, if not I would get them read before doing anything else.

thank yo for takin the time to answer. Yes, we already did, but it did not show any code for failure. Mechanic mentioned as probably the switch is not working and affecting the vehicles performance. But, it is a guess because the computer did not show this problem.

Engine earth strap is commonly bad in these has been the cause of hot start issues and cutting out in other ducatos. Its a very cheap thing to replace.

Also look for evidence of water ingress in ecu connectors fusebox loom.

This sounds similar to the faulty ignition switch on the latest X290 which is subject to a recall for replacement of the switch.

Maybe just blocked fuel filter?
