Hi all. I have been having afew problems with me Ducato its a 2009 2.3 120 multi jet. Fault code keeps saying P0091, I believe this to be Fuel pressure regulator short to ground. also some times comes up with P0089 (fuel pressure regulator performance problems). I have swapped out the regulator for new Bosch one but the problems is still there.:bang:

It seem to run fine for an hour or so then the eml light will come on and go into limp mode. Then after resetting it will come on within seconds of running again. it seems like it will last longer from when it is cold..

Please if any one has any ideas.

You did check for a short in the loom, follow the loom right back to the ecu check for damage, abrasion water ingress, check the ecu connector for water ingress / corrosion.

If your Ducato is a recreational vehicle that has been parked for a long time, rodents may have played with the wiring under the bonnet.
I've had this so many times, also in other vehicles, I put small bags of poisoned food there and regularly check if they are still there.

For the cost involved, it wouldn't hurt to change the earth strap. Maybe things might improve?

Thanks for the replies i will have a good go over it at the weekend. The lack of light in the evenings doesn't help, Things are easily missed when you are holding a touch.

I know this post was quite a while ago but was the problem ever resolved as I’m having the same issue with a 3.0 JTD 160 multijet 2007
