Hi All, Bought myself a 1988 Burstner based on the Fiat Ducato 2.5 Diesel. Its taken me about 6 months to get the Habitat area to my liking but I have come across a problem with the vehicle electrics/fuses. I have no paperwork on the vehicle, basically it was a Swiss import last year, any writing there is is in German. The Dash Fuse box has symbols but no writing.

My problem is the Reversing lights don't work and I cant find the right fuse, there is no power getting to the lights, but this could be the Gearbox switch and or the fuse.

I have also found an odd switch ( fitted after production ) on the Dash mounted under the lighting cluster, when I operate it with the ignition on I have a relay in the fusebox compartment that clicks in and out when I switch it - but I have no idea what it is for. It could be a bypass to the reversing lights, but with out a diagram to work to I am at a loss.

Can anyone help. I noticed an old link on the Forum but it doesn't work.

Fuse 10 in this picture is reverse look for same symbol, switch is easy to check at the gearbox end as fiat only made the chassis cab theres probabls a junction box somehwere fitted by burstner:

Thanks for that, my lid is the same as yours. You couldn't let me know what the other fuses are suppossed to be? i.e. 1 -9 -12 all show a fan but which is the engine fan ?

A Peter Russek manual will help with the wiring diagrams.

I bought the manual for the petrol engined Ducato a few years ago and it's helped to correctly do repairs.

1 & 12 are the engine fans
