Hi everyone, as a newbie to the forum, I'm amazed at the amount of information available, great job!
I have just acquired a Ducato 2007 Multijet 100 2.2L, this is the one fitted with the Ford Transit engine I believe.
Ok, I'm on a strict budget however my Ducato has decided to peel the outer layer of steel off the silencer on the exhaust system, typically, just as the MOT is due!
I've had the same message from all the national exhaust fitters, 'main dealer mate', so without going to the expensive end of the market, I'm wondering if there are any other options? The exhaust silencer is the one where there are two pipes on one side, and side mounted. (I understand there are many configurations of exhaust fitted to the Ducato).

Just had the same problem with my 2010 2.3l van. Went on e-bay, found one for £135, easy to fit, just needed to buy an exhaust clamp (60mm), as the original is part of the silencer unit.
The company was carpartsgiant, delivery was 48hrs, and delivered by UPS, the item number was 331601540616.
