Hello all, I'm hoping somebody has come across this issue before and knows how to repair it.
I have a 1999 ducato motorhome fitted with a 2.5td engine, think its the sofim engine.
It starts first crack of the key, no smoke, pulls well but at around 3000rpm upwards it stutters, like a misfire on a petrol engine along with some puffs of white smoke.
I've changed the fuel filter, ran forte treatment through it, checked for boost, pipes expand when you rev hard, checked wastegate which moves and generally looked around for pipes and hoses being loose or split.
I've only just bought it so not familiar with the engine layout etc.
Any ideas?
Seems like some sort of fuel starvation so Im guessing pump or timing?
