Just a word of warning, they still seize up!! Was used early June, now solid, one on order under warranty
2012 ducato maxi L4H2 van,

Just replaced number 6 i carry a big pair of side cutters for this purpose its truly an underwhelming piece of engineering isn't it who'd have thought a plastic gear on a steel spiral would cause problems. I think im off fiats xmas card list now after explaining to them in single syllable words what i thought of both their first and second designs. One of the few faults Ive had ,btw roloplo how did your hid upgraded headlights work out Cheers Adam

I said short abrupt words the other week to them regarding all the issues I'm having after all the water ingress, I had to purchase all parts, and solve the ingress myself, as all fiat do is replace what's not working not why it's not working! Having the van off the road 5 weeks this year since feb, it's cost me in hire vans and or lost income £££ that If I'd bought a merc sprinter or vw crafter, would be covered no quibble for 3 not 2 yrs and a loan van at most van dealers if avail,

Guess where my £££ is going next

I modify them to fit Alko chassis. This one I fitted to my own 18 months ago and still fine. It hasn't even collected any dirt in that time

BTW FYI I bought two off ebay recently delivered for £80 so don't entertain idiot sellers
asking stupid money. Also DO NOT buy without the winding tool!

i speak to motor home owners all the time in my travels and they also haven't had much of a problem but when its your livelihood its a different matter i did 23000kms last month about 2/3 of it dirt believe me there are better designs out there

just saw a remote flexible airline to connect to those spare wheels that are so out of the way they tend to get forgotten. The company is Spairline.
The product connects to the spare wheel and the connect is mounted somewhere that is easy to get to.

Copperslip or just normal grease or any form of lubrication :)

I bought an old landrover wheel carrier and modified it, it's now on the rear door with a cover on it so no mud or rust.
