Hi all, I'm trying to find where the relay is for the A/C on my van. Stopped working whilst driving yesterday, along with a slight burning smell.

Hi Digger58, Last night I traced the fault to a burnt out control board behind the switch on the dash, which I will have to source, any ideas from where? Thanx ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1405405199.254522.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1405405232.650282.jpg

Damage looks quite light. You may be lucky! Try a repair- get some thin insulated wire, and solder it between the end points of the damaged track; make sure the wire is insulted from all other parts- strip the minimum necessary of the insulation to achieve soldering. Assuming the only damage is to the one circuit trak- looks thay way in your pic. There are holes at each end so that helps locate the wire, but don't use too much solder lest it bridges some other part.Presumably some resistors and such on the back? Post a pic if u can. I have done loads of repairs just like this, and as I say, yours looks dead easy- if you have/ can use a soldering iron. No black art, just cleanliness and the least heat and solder for a clean 'shiny' joint. Where are u in case I can help? Im in South Cheshire.

Sorry should have stated that I sorted this out. I jumpered the board bypassing the fried track, first time the wire burnt out (too thin), next time fine.
Thanks for your replies
