Hi has anyone by passed the immobiliser in a 2.3 multijet? 2007/8
Van will not start or only will when it decides to!

If bypassing the immobiliser was that simple there would be no need to build it in!
Try the spare key, the one you are using now may be damaged.

Ok Thanks for that have tried both keys but no differance between them.
Hoping to get it going and go to local garage and get the fault codes read.
Also read a thread on here about dissconecting battery for a hour or more then when you go to start van using main big key (door lock unlock buttons on it) wait until key lock sign goes out before starting then start and stop van remove key put in second plain key do same again.
Any thoughts on the above?
Cheers Mike

Is the immobiliser light staying on with the key in. There are a million and one things that will stop your van starting. If the immobiliser light is coming on and going off then the immobiliser is not the issue. If immobiliser light is intermittently staying on. First contact cleaner on antenna plugs check key antenna for cracks and damage measure antenna resistance.

The lights go out everytime as afar as Im am aware but will check. It has currently started a least a dozen times fine in the garage. Do you know what the big black 50amp relay in the middle of fusebox in the engine compartment operates?
Have downloaded the x250 manual from here but cant find the answer on there as yet, handbook only names fuses.

Been to garage and got the fault codes read, 40 errors on both the pump relay and pump sensor/diaphram so starting with a new relay.
It will be about 40 times that it did not start so hope this may point to a cure
Attached is picture/description fuse box relays etc not sure i have this bit right
