Hi there.
First post on any forum so here goes!
Recent purchase of my first fiat based vehicle it's a hymer 654 1991 ducato 290 2.5td & the oil light on dash has just started to come when engine is running. It is very faint in brightness and stays on all the time? Oil level is fine, I am thinking oil pressure switch but could there be any other sensors? Any feedback will be appreciated.

If it is faint just replace the switch. Real low oil pressure starts with the light coming on only when the engine is idling and warm.

Thank you both for the feedback. I will change switch and check all wiring as well.
Darren.

Thanks for your replies. I wanted to let you know that it was a relay issue from the motorhome. The switch relays that I found which are connected to van circuit for charging leisure battery and main starter battery had failed. Also sorted my problem with the fridge which was a bonus. ?

Hi there. The isolation relay for the fridge and batteries are behind the fuses on the left side next to the steering wheel. I will post some pics if I can. Remove the 4 screws that hold the fuse box in place and pull it out. The unit is about 200mm long and the relays are inside at the back.
Wiring diagram for my 1991 Hymer 654 if it helps as I can imagine most Hymers of that age will be very similar.
