Does anyone have part numbers for Ducato 160 throttle valve and cable ? Failing that where will I find the engine number? Many thanx

Okay, so I'm answering my own query but should anyone else require this part here goes. The throttle valve part number is 504264089 and the adaptor cable is 504388738.DO NOT BUY THESE ITEMS FROM FIAT. The price quoted by Fiat was almost £600.I bought the parts from Iveco in Brighouse and was charged £283 for both items .A tip when fitting is to change the rear left hand bolt for an Allen head bolt as the newer valve is a slightly different shape and its virtually impossible to get a 13 mm socket onto the standard bolt.Hope this helps someone.

Me again,I forgot to mention I ordered the parts over the phone and they arrived the next day with no charge for p+p.Really helpful people

Hi wixxie, just curious to know what your engine was doing to make you change the throttle valve and did it fix the problem, as I have the same van that has a random pattern of the engine loosing power as though someone is turning the ignition on and off and from all I've read I'm leaning towards the same part. Cheers

To find out if the valve is part of your problem, pull the connector from its socket before starting the engine. It's not easy, but possible with long nose pliers.
If the power fluctuations disappear, you have 3 options: keep the valve unplugged, dismantle and clean the part or have a new one installed.
