Hi,

Some theiving toerag cut my quarter light (door) window seal away, so they could remove the glass to break into my 2003 Fiat Ducato (motorhome).

I have ordered a new seal, and will be picking it up from a fiat dealer in the next couple of days. Can anyone advise if this is something I can fit myself, and if so are there any specialist tools, or lubricant required??

We are actually travelling in spain, so I have a limited toolkit with me. The Fiat dealer quoted 60euros to do so I'm guessing an hrs work for someone who knows what they are doing! I'd rather not pay this so thanks in advance for any pointers.

cheers.

Goes in really easy with the string method - run a string around the rubber channel, offer up the window slotting in the top and as much of the side as you can, then pull the string from inside to pull the inner side of the rubber through. I'm sure there are guides on ebay.

Thanking you.

Couldnt find the guide on ebay, but these two youtube vids make it look pretty easy.

Newbie on here, so cant post links, but the 'how to install a 944 window' vid, and 'how to replace back window glass seal with cord' will help anyone else with this in the future.
