Hi ALL,
I HAVE A fiat ducato 3.0 160 multijet engine with 6 speed auto box, its a motorhome, today I drove home from aweekend away trouble free for over 100 miles, got home turned off engine, unloaded it, 20 mins later went to start it to move it, and it would not start.
With the help of the AA, we discovered a fuel delivery problem, the primary fuel pump in the fuel tank was not working, we checked all fuses, checked the inertia cut out switch, all seemed okay.
We found out that there was no live supply to the pump ?
What could this be ? I have no wiring diagram to trace the lead from the pump to its source.
Thoughts are,
faulty inertia switch, checked the earth lead for continuity, this was okay, when these fail do they break the earth or live connection to pump ? where does the pump get its supply from? is there another inline fuse anywhere ?
some guidance would be appreciated,
many thanks.
