I have just purchased a new Hobby/Ducato motorhome and I am trying to find when the chassis/cab was made. The reason being on the Hobby plate amongst the letters on the serial number are the numbers 2007, which I hope is not the date Hobby made it.

The Fiat VIN plate reads as follows in this decending order:-
ABE L778
ZFA250000*01960011

Then the axle weights

Motore FIA0481N
Versione 250CEMAD AXCS
Made in Italy 0.92

Can anyone please break the Fiat plate down and tell me when the chassis/cab was made?

Not sure if this assists, mine is a 230 registered 2010 and my VIN number ends 1729*** I haven't included the last 3 digits for security reasons.

Well before your VIN number if that's the way Fiat work.

Make sure your dealer has reset the warranty on the vehicle side to the same date that you picked it up (and not the date that the cab manufacturer will have on their database).

The vehicle was manufactured on 8th March 2011 with the specifications shown below.
