This works - done it on my 2.8JTD Ducato recently.
I think I copied it off this forum - well done that man.

I was looking in here for a how to reset the spanner symbol on my 2002 Ducatomotorhome... and the only answer found was to get the car to a dealer to havethem do it... However after a little googling I found out how to fix it myself.
1 - Hold down the trip counter button.
2 - Turn the ignition on (keep holding the button for 10-15 sec).
4 - Now display shows CFG1, choose between CFG1/2/3 using the trip counterbutton to select the service interval. 18,600(30000km), 12,500(20000km) or 9,300(15000km)miles.
5 - Press the trip counter button for 10-15 sec to enter the right interval.
The indicator will come on again after 12 months regardless of service intervalfor vehicles with low mileage, or the interval you choose to use.""

That procedure is listed in the owners manual which in case you don't have a hard copy is available in the downloads section on the second page in PDF form along with some other 244 manuals.
