I am still trying to find a way to fit a double din audio unit into my 2006 Ducato Camper. Has anyone solved this problem
I seem to be able to find a lot of people asking on various sites but as yet have not been able to find a solution.
I am sure someone must have the answer.

i've seen on ebay a double din housing that you can fit on top of a dashboard

I have also seen this and have sent them a couple of e-mails, it would appear that it is too large and if you cut it down to fit you would have to cut off all of the mounting points

I believe the unit with the larger screen has full colour mapping and the smaller screen one only direction symbols. You would need to add mobile telephone and sat-nav aerials to make it work fully. Seller has been listing them for months so may take an offer.

I want to keep the oem radio, but i want to mount a 9'' monitor into a housing which i can fix to the top of the dash above the radio.

Perhaps I have not quite made myself clear as to what I am trying to do.
In the 2006 Ducato I have there is only a aperture for a single din unit with a clip board which can be raised up and down above it which is simply screwed to the top of the dash by a few screws.
I would like to remove this clipboard and somehow mount a double din unit either above the space allocated for a single din unit or extend the single unit hole so that I can then fit my double din unit that I had fitted into a previous VWT5 camper.
So what I am hopeing to do is slightly different to Luigi and although the links that you kindly supplied Davren are presently not suitable as they would appear to be for a vehicle that already can take a double din the fascia plates will be very usefull if I ever solve this problem that I have been pondering now for months.
