Technical 57 plate front shocks

near side upper strut bearing gone and so has shock ... pattern part £60... only available prior to 2007, main dealer £158+vat. :shrug: wtf?

any bargain basement alternative? the main dealer also wanted £60+vat for a negative battery cable 12" long which i got for a tenner
