Just been and had new pair of tyres fitted to the front axle of my ducato. When they removed the wheels I noticed that there were a couple of 1 inch long cracks on both front discs. Contacted Fiat and was quoted £194 for discs and £111 for the pads. Needless to say I never asked how much to fit them. After recovering from the shock I have managed to get the discs MDC1849 and pads MDB2846 for £124 from Mintex. The van is fitted with the original Fiat 15inch alloy wheels which I know are a pain to get off. Can anybody tell me if this is a simple job to change the discs and pads and if so what is the procedure. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to open these instructions in Microsoft Word?

They refer to other components, eg road wheels as R&R - remove and replace.

Thanks for that Peter, I am now thinking of getting rid of the van as its starting to cost money. It now needs another headlight unit (number 4). For some reason they start to get condensation inside and it builds up. Original price was over £34000 plus VAT. I bought it at 18 months old for only £12000 although it has got every option that fiat could put on it down to twin leaf suspension.

I guess it would cost more money to change it than keep it? especially when its signwritten. Looks like you got a great deal, although they were giving great discounts off list price at that time. The list price of mine was £29,000 (including the price of fitted extras I would not have chosen myself) and I paid £17,000 from a franchised dealer found over the internet.. I am the first registered keeper, but it was a cancelled order and old stock - built 15 months before it was first registered. I was not offered that level of discount on a new factory order.

It's great van! I have the same but in poor in equmipent

Is it possible to find these original alloy wheels?

Yes, I too think the van looks great. The only thing I am not sure about is the bull bars on the front. I thought they were banned on account of the extra injury they could cause pedestrians. I can see they are rounded, but would still be more likely to cause injury to a pedestrian smashed against those, than the smooth flat surface under them. Some people would think it looks like you are going out prepared to run into somebody. And if I was selling dolls houses I would want the van to look as child friendly as possible.
If it was mine I would put the bull bars on ebay and keep the rest of it, just as it is.

Now these are bull bars! (Outside the office of a prominent politician, I might add!)

How much is this front bull bar and how much is complicated to mount on the van?
Is there any law about this front bull bars?

Thanks for all the responses. I will try to answer in order. The original price paid was £34000 plus VAT it was purchased by a leisure company in Scotland with all extras to be fitted. The options list of extras is extensive ie twin leaf suspension, towbar, tachograph, camera, bluetooth, MP3, Media player, steering wheel controls, air con etc etc. However the original company did not use it much and was in storage for 6 months when I got hold of it. It only had 18000 miles on the clock when I bought it on ebay £12000 when it was 18 months old. The 15 inch alloys are the originals but I think they are about £800 from Fiat if not more. The bull bars were purchased on ebay for £350 and are UK legal. Mud flaps are Fiat originals. Signwriting was done by a firm in Plymouth for only £250 and is removable as they are vinyl. The van has been chipped by chip express and am now averaging 42mpg loaded. I have included some more pics. New front discs and pads from Mintex fitted today for cost of £124 compared to £365 Fiat wanted (Not fitted either) The seat covers are Fiat Professional. You buy them in a set. You even get a cover for the arm rest lol. I have added some more pics. Cheers lads
