On collection of my vehicle new i was aware that there was a noise whilst i was acclerating but not being used to a campervan brought it to the attention of the dealer but they couldnt work out what it was. Took it to a fiat commercail agent who couldnt stop the noise on two occasions. Then on our first long trip abroad the noise has got louder and kicks in from 1.8 k revs thru to 2.1 revs then disappears . it is like a tingling tin can . Am locked into a case with fiat customer service but they cant do anything due to fiat technical not agreeing with the solution put forwrd by the fiat agent . anyone else come across such a noise on a new engine pls

Hi , tricky to diagnose, but due to the limited rev - range, I would say it's frequency vibration, most likely cause , as it's getting louder.. , is exhaust , heat shields, etc,
can you replicate it while in neutral at a standstill ??, only recommendecd with a warmed-up engine..!!, does it do it at the same RPM , no matter what gear is selected??

All sorted now , it was a faulty egr the gas flow anal;yser sytem that was making the noise and has been replaced under warranty
