Hi
I'm new to the forum.
I have an Ace Milano Motorhome on a 2008 Ducato 2.2 Diesel chassis. The heater fresh air inlet/Recirc control has broken, part of the switch has fallen off behind the dash & fallen on the floor. The vehicle is out of warranty so I need to fix it myself.
I cannot find a manual for sale anywhere (ebay) to show how to dismantle the dash!

How do I get into the dash to remove and repair/replace the switch?

The Lap Top Cubby is loose at the bottom & needs refixing?

Any advice would be most appreciated

many thanks

One way to get the info is to sign up to service.citroen.com you can get an hours subscription to the repair docs for €4.50 you'd have to be quick!

See attached Doc
I would think that the Radio (if fitted in place of the Document holder) would also have to be removed using the special tool/s to unlock the retaining clips through the matching pairs of holes on each side of the radio face.
Hope this helps

Thanks FreeSpirit that's a great help. Have yo got details on how to remove the lap top cubby below this lot?#
Are you really in Queensland? Didn't think they'd be selling the X250 in Oz
Thanks again

:devil:Special model comes with balloon tyres, and insect screens!!:D:D:D

Sorry
been away for the weekend, see attached doc for lower cubby removal procedure. I hope this is what you are talking about? Yes they are selling the X250 out here - started in early 2007, they started importing Ducatos back in 2003 with the 244 model although there were a few odd ones around before that & yes I am in Qld & now after a meter of rain & no summer we are now predicted to have a heat wave this week.
Cheers (y)

The problem was the geared part of the switch was tight

I haved reduced the outside diameter of the geared spindle and the switch now works!

FreeSpirit Thanks for your reply. I have stripped out most of the dash area as I couldn't remove or access the heater control panel from above.
Once I'd removed the lower panel around the lap Top Compartment, I was able to get to the switch from below.

The problem was due to the geared spindle at the rear or the freshair/recirc switch being tight in the body of the switch, as a result the switch was stiiff and when operated the spindle was being pushed off the back of the switch. I filed down the outside of the spidle to make it turn more freely in the switch. problem solved:)
I just have to re assemble all the dash board. Some of the clips are not designed fro removal & re fitting!
I should have taken a picture of the back of the switch but never thought about it whilst i had it off.

Where do you get the info for the Ducato? i have been unable to source a manual for the current model.

Hope you are all dried out at home
many thanks

Ducato 07 Heater Controls

I need to remove the panel which houses the heater controls. I removed the surrounding panels. Can anyone tell me how to remove the ring controls, the inner knobs so I can get to the rest. Also is the Workshop Manual for 2007 on Ducatos available yet. Thanks Des:)
