The rear doors on my 2010 Ducato with 3000 miles on the clock won't open from the remote control or the key from outside the vehicle. The doors will open manually from the inside.

When I pull the handle there does not seem to be as much resistance as with the other doors.

Any ideas? If its something simple I would rather fix it myself rather than waste hours hanging around in the Fiat dealership but what should I check for first.

I have an 07 van, and I have just started having a similar problem in the last week.

Will your door unlock if you use the key in the lock? mine does, so I'm going to go down the route of a bad connection in the door itself stopping the central locking unit from moving the linkage.

No. It doesn't work with the key in the door. Booked into Fiat's for a look on Friday. There doesn't seem to be any resistance when I pull the handle suggesting a breakdown in the mechanism. No doubt they will have to order the parts.

I'll report back.

Cable popped out of the retaining socket rather like a cable popping out of the brake lever on a bicycle. The service manager took a look and fixed it in about 5 minutes.

Yes, and it will pop out again before long(n)

Happened to me with the sliding door on my 244. The permanent solution for me was to pop it back into place and hold it there with a small cable tie.
