I have a nackered gearbox, lost 5th gear the other day on my 96 Ducato 2.5tdi campervan

Trying to find a new gearbox, does anyone know if the Citroen/Peugeot unit from the same size engine will fit?

I have heard that the 5th gear assembly can be replaced on this model without taking gearbox out (though no personal experience of job)

if your damage is just to 5th gear this might be the easiest option
