Hi Guys

I'm looking to buy a second hand Ducato i took a look at one last week on 20K miles, the van seemed to be in good condition, But had a very sharp clutch engagement in 1st and a pronounced jerk forward (none of the others I have driven have done this) it doesn't do this if you set off from standing in second un-ladden. Does this sound like a problem with the clutch/DMF ? Does any one know how much a clutch and/ or flywheel might set me back on an 07 Ducato? I'm thinking of ringing the dealer up to see if he will rectify the problem or knock some cash off the asking price.

do they have another van (same engine) you can compare it to?

Not at the same dealer but I've driven a couple more Ducato's with the 2.3 multijet in them and none of the others do the same thing. Apart from the 1st gear problem this one seemed the best of bunch condition wise, all of the rest have higher miles and are lacking any evidence of service history.
