Hello

I had a 2007 X250 with front foglights. I now have a 2009 X250 without.
The wireing to the front is in place, the fuse under the bonnet is in place. I have also aquired a bespoke pair of front foglights and a switch bank which includes the front foglight switch. I have fitted the new bank of switches with no problem.

1. Is there a relay which I need to fit, if so which one.

2. How do I remove the two blanks in the front bumper to fit the spotlights.

Thank You.

 Hello Again

I think I've have found the relay T17. When I fitted the lights I get nothing. The icon on the speedo cluster does not light up either. Am I missing something.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply T14086 but can you explain what the body computor does. Does it activate the foglight circuit.

Regards

As I asked before T14086 can you tell me why I need a body computer and do I need to take my MH to a Fiat dealership to get this sorted. Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards
Colin

Thanks T14086 Does this mean a trip to a dealer?

Regards
Colin

you need to find out if the body computer on the car has the facility to switch fog lights on or if the wiring is infact there, no reason why you cant switch the relay from the switch itself.

Sorry to be a pain on this but I found out that the T17 relay is for the screen washers. Is there any way I can get a copy of the wiring diagram which will also include identifiction of the relays on this chassis. Any help will be gratefully recieved.

Colin

Hi everyone,

I have similar problem with front fog lights. There are all necessary wiring and relay and it works when I test it. I have switching panel with 6 out of 7 switchers on it - front fog light switcher is missing. So, I have open switching panel and found that on pcb are missing few elements. By my mind missing:

1. one red led
2. two resistors

If someone can help and let me know which which resistors are missing on my pcb or if you have image of the pcb with front fog light facility available.

Thank you and best regards,

Dejan.

I didn’t get them work still. As far as I know you need lights, pair of light holders, pair of light cables, 30A relay and switch on the control board.
I stopped at that point.

I thought the van was prewired for fogs and surely you wouldn't need to buy a new body computer just for fog lamps.

Hi dfk
I have got the lights working but we used a separate 12v supply through a separate relay via a separate switch but, connected to the back of the fuse box/relay box picking up the original wiring feeding the front fogs. I bought a new switch cluster including the front fog light switch and that didn't work. A main Fiat dealer had a x250 motorhome for two days and they couldn't get them to work.

Thanks Colin I was going to wire them in with the parks through a new switch on dash. What did you use for mounting brackets.

Hi dfk

I used a small round rocker switch with indicator. I drilled hole above heated mirror switch in the lower dash, after removeing it so I could see behind.

No what did you mount the lights in the bumper with.I asked fiat garrage about brackets and they said there was none???.
Also looking at my bumper spaces it looks like i will have to drill the blanks out as they do not want to pop out is this correct.
