i have just changed the battery in my ducatto now it wont even turn over there is a small red light flashing in my cab is this the immobiliser,i never had a red key dont know if this model had one year 2001,the black key i have has got a triangle with acircle on it and on the opposite side a602.where should i start to diagnose this problem, what signs will let me know the problem?:bang:

by sounds of it i believe that the triangle with a circle should also have a number near it, if its a 2 then only blue keys but from what you say i beleive its code 1 and therefore a red key

sorry does that mean i need the red key or mine is a red key i have no number by these symbols.the only number is on the other side a602.
ive been told to check if the key is comunicating with the ecu.immo box.how can i do this?(y)

i would probably say yes (CODE 1),if the key was communicating with ecu the minimum thing should be the CODE light going out but as for the ducato im not entirely sure

I remember another thread, but can't remeber what year van, the same had happened, and there was a reset button, either black or red, somewhere on the bulkhead, under the bonnet, near the battery. Pressed and it started again. I may be totally wrong for yours, but worth a look.
