Hello I would like any advice I can get over the trouble that I am having with the 270 degre opening doors that Fiat have now said there is nothing that they will do to help re denting from the doors or the cabling that is getting creased as the doors shut. I am shocked at their responce which I thought would be down to them to sort out not the customer, cheers, Daryl.

My 2.8JTD had this problem and under warranty the cable sheathing (or loom?) was replaced for both doors. The agent said this was a known problem. I had not noticed it.

Is it a new van? still under warranty? mileage? How can we give advice without facts/full story?

I purchased my van new in April last year with as many extras that I could afford at the time, most of the items are, alloys, pearl paint, air con, reversing camera, Blue & me, auto lights & wipers, heavy duty rear susp, elec. folding mirrors, cruise, esp, & of course the 270 degree doors!. The miles so far are nearly 13,000, I am very pleased with the van, having the LCD display in the dash is also very handy, instant miles per gallon, range, average mpg, etc etc.
Only recently, (this week) I found out by chance that it is possible to call a number using voice command through Blue & me, which I thought was a snazzy gadget for a work vehicle!.

There is a recent service news for the problem(s) you describe.

Only recently, (this week) I found out by chance that it is possible to call a number using voice command through Blue & me, which I thought was a snazzy gadget for a work vehicle!.

You see loads of works van drivers use mobiles (obviously as related to work) so blue & me should be standard (IMO) on all vans.

Where do I look for this information?, I have today recieved a letter from Fiat which says,

"May I take this opportunity to thank you for contacting us at Fiat Professional regarding the concerns surrounding the doors on you vehicle.

I have again reviewed the information available and it is with regret that I am unable to alter my previous decision.

If you feel that I have not delt with your concerns I would kindly refer you to an independent ombudsman, the Society Motor Manufacturers Traders Limited."

I was told by a Citroen dealer that if the extras that I have fitted were done at the factory then it should be covered for 3 years or 100,000miles.
Also this week I had the recal items done one of them was to have a white spray splogged on the injectors/cam cover that should stop corrosion, that looks a right old mess in my nice & clean engine bay!.

Regards the Bluetooth I have used it to good effect for many months when accepting calls, the point I was making was I never knew that you could just speak out the number & the "lady in the dash" would dial it!.

Service news are for dealer information only. Obviously each case is individual and should be judged so. Also citroen (and peugeot) have different warranty exclusions/mileages/terms of usage etc.

As much as I really like my van, owning it has been spoilt by recently by the lack of interest from Fiat in sorting the problem that I have had with it from new. Why are customer service so unhelpfull? what good can it do to Fiats reputation by avoiding sorting out problems that should not have arisen in the first place.
I am worried that their lack of support, I have the reverse judder problem aswell, will end up costing me loads past warranty time, or even before judging by their lack of aftercare, perhaps its because I have only owned 2 Ducatos from new that they dont give a damn?, large fleet owners get more respect maybe.
