Turned up at my storage location to pick up my Ducato 130 motorhome and it wouldnt start. But luckily I had a battery booster in the boot of my car I was going to charge it with.

So, and some may find this funny, opened the bonnet - no battery.

Looked underneath, its a McLouis Motorhome, and nothing.

There was a plastic/rubbery panel mainly over the passengers footwell, and removed this to reveal a bolted in panel with some large RED wires running out of it - but nothing I could access.

I'd like to go back and start the vehicle, but have not a clue where to clip the croc clips to.......

I'm not that mechanical - so could someone explain where the batteries are to attach the restarter cables ?

I guess my other question, is if the batteries are under this bolted down cover - WHY ??? I had no tools, so was unable to undo something that would surely be a problem for MH owners.

Hope someone can help me ASAP.

The bread-knife is going spare claiming I ruined the weekend........

under panel in floor .... under heater controls (centre of floor) ...hope that made sense:confused:

lift vinyl floor to reveal metal cover HOWEVER if jump starting use earth bolt on landing panel & live terminal next to ECU.

So I can jump start without taking that cover off in the pax footwell ?

If I open the bonnet, I did see a bolt on the right with an earth symbol on it, where abouts is the live connection under the bonnet - what am I looking for, will it be similar bolt ?

correct....as Dobbin said under black cover about 8" behind the earth bolt next to engine bay fusebox.

Great I found it.....

I bought a 17AH (400 peak Amps I think) external battery booster to try and start it - although took straight from the shop to the vehicle so not much charge.

All the electrics worked, but not enought to turn over the starter motor, it really struggled and did nothing.

Will it be enough to start if I give full charge to the booster ?

The motorhome is in storage, so unable to power plug the vehicle in.......
