As anyone ever experienced not being able to select any gears at all, engine running or not-no crunching or anything-just neutral?
Its a 1991 2.5tdi 5 speed manual.
All linkages appear to be ok.
Any comments appreciated.

I believe I have a similar problem with my Ducati motor Home it's a1.9td 2000 model I suddenly have no gears at all when the engine is running after my van has been standing in my drive facing downhill for about 10weeks

You are posting on an eleven year old thread, and may not get a reply from the OP.

While yours is a later vehicle, is it possible that the control sleeve that connects the linkage to the gearbox has failed?
