2005 ducato. Immobiliser light comes on and kills the system. Reset is only after removing to 7.5 fuses. This will allow the van to start and last for about 4 starts. Any suggestions welcome. Both keys affected.

I have a 1996 Fiat Ducato 2.5TDi based motorhome & cannot start it due to an immobiliser problem. The AA spent 2 hours trying & had no luck - we have the Master key & two other keys, the key codes and have tried all the suggested methods of starting to no avail. When ignition is turned on the glow plug light does not come on but the 'code' light stays on - suggesting the fuel cut-off switch was activated - but the AA by-passed this as well. Is this a transponder/ECU problem & if so is there a solution?
I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks.
