Hello, I'm new to the forum
I have a ducato 10 - 2.8d mwb 2001 (still has old fiat logo). I have been advised by the AA that my injector pump is the problem as there is fuel going in but nothing coming out. My local fiat parts dealer advised me that it may be the fuel shut off valve that is the problem and not actually the pump. If this were the case this could save me a lot of money ( £803 + vat for a recon. pump!!). Does anybody have any idea how I would be able to get this valve out or replaced. I have tried to find a manual for the vehicle but have had no success. Your help would be very much appreciated.:)

the valve is usually a simple solenoid with one wire going to it. they screw in and on my 2.8 it looks like brass.
they cost around £6 and literally take minutes to change. most spares shops sell them.
when mine packed up to avoid being stranded i unbolted it and removed the spring loaded plunger and refitted it.
the valve is what stops the engine so once home i had to stall the motor to turn it off.

Thank you very much for your reply. Looks like a job I can get done today. Hopefully this will fix the problem and get me running again. I can't express how grateful I am . Cheers :):):worship::worship::):)
