Had the Doblo service just a few days ago on monday :)

Now the last time the Doblo went in for work (the heater matrix saga) I was too ill to take her in but luckily was able to pick her up a few days later after my dad had kindly taken it in for me. Friday night, what happens, I get ill again and am unable to take the Doblo in for it's service, so again my dad had to take it in for me. The point I hear you ask? I think it's got magical powers  everytime it needs to go near a garage it makes me Ill!

Moving on... LC Motors in Newport did the service for me. And well, as you'd expect it went well having done only 30,000 miles. Had an oil change, filter change etc etc. and they even kindly pointed out on the very detailed service sheet for me that I had a small pin in one of my rear tyres - which I have to say I was impressed with.

I do wish now though I'd have been well enough to top up the windscreen washer resivoiur because they charged me a fiver for that! All in all cost me £175... what do you think of this price?

Haven't driven her yet as Im still Ill, but I can't see much change as I've only just recently adjusted the brakes etc. so just a pointless post for those with nothing to do ;)

Poor Ozzie - Get Well soon (y)

Removing the undertray - do it once and make holes for the filter and sump (y) the handy way :D

Bargain!! Mrs O. got a few coppers change out of £300 for the 24k service AND I didn't let them replace the worn front tyres!!

Get well soon Ozzie!!

I filled mine to the brim & they still charged me so you probably did the right thing.

i have my punto jtd service at lc motors cwmbran (or should i say used to i'm doing myself from now on) they do a good job but they charged for filling washer fluid and for cleanig some oil from the sumpwhich they thought was an oil leak but the service sheet said the oil level was at max

I run a doblo and a ducato on emergency response glazing repairs. The doblo has done over 40k in two years, the ducato nearly 100k in two years. Within warranty the servicing was done by our local salisbury dealer who went through two changes of owner in a short period of time with a varying range of costings. The servicing on the doblo ranged from £96 for the in between 6000 mile service to over £238 for the same service but with a different dealership owner. How can prices be so different? With the ducato the story is very much the same, the 72k service should have been £329; the rear brake shoes, front discs and brake discs themselves another £600; and the timing belt they wanted just under £500. Of course I told them where to get off, and used the local hometune company who came to our works, now does both vans out of warranty and you can see him do the work. If fact we bought the timing belt parts etc and had it fitted for £230; the servicing labour £78; the servicing parts £37; the brake pads £61; the rear brake shoes £64; and finally the brake discs for £101.
What a difference Fiat dealer £1429 give or take a penny, the hometune guy just £571... The best bit is we awarded this guy a contract to service our vans forever, our savings are incredable. Our dealer really got it wrong trying to charge us outrageous prices from servicing as I will not give them the order for the next new vehicles either.
