had a problem with mt doble today it has done 35k and had a new battery in august 2006 (50% paid for by Fiat UK as not covered in 3rd year of warranty).
i had drivenabout 7 miles parked up for 15 minutes and when i went to start it the engine turned over but would not start. Took key out tried to start again and the radio shoed CANCHECK and odomenter flashed. Called my FIAT dealer who had never had this on a Doble and all they could suggest was call out the AA! I tried to start the Doble again and it started ok and did so several time after - has anybody had this problem? and what is CANCHECK on the radio?

thanks for that - can you advise where i would check this connection? where is the body computer located?
thanks neilly b

According to my workshop manual the body computer its self is located behind the interior fusebox (under the flap by your right knee), you have to remove the fusebox first to get at the body computer by disconnecting the leads from the front of it and unclipping it - it could however be a little more complicated than this

I have had this once on mine, I just turned off the ignition, left it a few minutes and tried again, this was two years again and it has never re-occured. I put it down to a gremlin! Did I get in and turn the ignition on too fast so that something didn't have time to register? Etc, etc! I am an electrical engineer and we have this problem with some PLC's, not registering every time unless you give it a bit of time! We are all getting old though:rolleyes:

Its part of the fusebox,if you remove the combined unit they seperate (push clip each side) with body computer being the rear (grey) part.
