The reason I wouldn't fit a turbo is because it would cost more than the car is worth & it would still be a bag of junk at the end of it.

a turbo would probcost over 1k, i would fit an ind kit and if you were going to keep it for a few years get an exhaust made you could get about 10hp+

Unfortunately the engine only has 63bhp, to spend £1,000+ & an exhaust just to get 75bhp it just doesn't make economical sense or even common sense.
The original 70bhp multijet was hardly up to the job this would be even worse.
Another problem has just occured to me, that of the gear ratio's. In fifth gear at 1,000rpm the car is travelling at approx 21mph, thus the maximum speed will still be about 90mph.
Even at 70mph the engine would be turning over at approx 3,400rpm. The revs are far to high to be economical thus another gearbox would be needed.
By far the better solution would either be to live with the car or just sell it off & get the JTD saving time & money.
