hi all

Had to make a claim on the fiat warranty got a 05 fiat doblo 1.3 family 18 mths old and the battery failed, so took it to fiat dealer in northampton to get new battery installed, car has been left at fiat dealer for five days waiting for fiat uk to give the go head to install new battery, still waiting so decided to get dealer to install new battery and have now had to pay, some warranty or what it sucks! Fiat dealer very good and could not help enough shame about fiat uk who dont seem to care about its customers! will now be having it out with fiat uk over the phone, five days is to long for a battery to be replaced god no's what it would be like for major engine faliure.any body else had similar experiance!:bang:

Its expensive to keep so many batteries so only probably keep batteries that sell quickly or some cheap ones for older cars...end of day your car is off the road & I would fit a battery to keep you going or take one from another multipla if they have one there?
May I be cheeky & ask if the service schedule is correct?

Yes car has been serviced by fiat dealer when required, only brought car three weeks ago from fiat dealer in scunthorpe only has 10050 miles on clock and was serviced at approx 7500 miles in first year with stamp in book. maybe dealer in northampton is fobbing me of! Bloody hard to get hold of the 1.3 family doblos still great car! used to have marea 1.6 and ulysse 2.0 jtd still like fiats.

Its in the interest of Fiat, the dealer & yourself to get that car back on the road, personally i'd get a battery of similar rating/size to keep you going, then again 2 days (3 max) is all it takes to get a proper battery...mmmm something is not right here I suspect

Well I dont know the full story & what I say isn't gospel,i'm sure you will respect that however if I brought a car 3 weeks ago from a dealer (no matter who they are) and the battery failed I would want it replaced free of charge.
I would speak to the salesman who sold me the car & put pressure on him to fund the battery.

maisie, next time you need any work doing, take your car to jordans of hull, I've had no problems with them.
Are you without transport, or have they given you a courtesy car ?
I'm suspicious about the length of time as well.

Maisie,

Leave the warranty paperwork in your toilet - just in cae you run out of loo paper - its all its good for!

sounds like a load of crap from youre garage . 18 month old vehicle fiat dealer should have changed it straight away.no farting around waiting for authority
