Hi to all

Just joined the forum and have just brought a fiat doblo 1.3 multijet family
cracking car, great engine, when brought from fiat dealership sales person was not sure what the bhp was on the car possible 70bhp or 85 bhp any help would be usefull.
many thanks(y)

I've had a look at fiats website, and the new doblo 1.3 multijet is quoted as having 85 bhp, parkers guide says the early 1.3's were only 70 bhp, and were under powered, if your dealer is being evasive with you, I'll bet you its only a 70 bhp model. There is a firm who you can contact through this forum called angel tuning who would remap it for you and give you more power, here is the link to the fiat spec page

Hello and welcome to the forum 'maisie the ugly bug' (y)

Best way to tell is to put your foot down, if you're not impressed then it's the 70bhp if you are impressed it's the 85bhp :p nah i'm only joking! :D

And those pre-historic JTD's are fantastic I'm a big fan of mine :D

As I've said, even if its not the 85 bhp version, doesnt matter, just talk to the guys at angel tuning, they,ll sort it out no problem, and you'll need the extra umph to pull a caravan

Got to say the doblo goes well for a 1.3 so hoping its the 85bhp version will be towing a caravan next summer so the extra bhp would be usefull:D

Theres someone in the GP section who tows a caravan with a 1.3 multijet and previously towed with a panda multijet so the engine should cope providing its not a huge caravan obviousl but all your kerb weights etc should be in your manual.

On a side note, i dont know my doblos but is there a model called the 'doblo family' ive heard it mentioned before and im sure thats a later one. Or am i wrong
