Hi All

Has anybody fitted bigger wheels on their Doblo? Mine came with 14 inch I opted for the steel wheels as I have broken alloys in the past and its no fun when your wagon is loaded

When I first bought my Doblo it felt very giddy on the little 14 inch wheels and I felt she needed bigger wider shoes. Of course the new model has 15s now just typical. :p I was wondering if anyone has corrected this and gone for 15's or 16's ? Might improve the handling a bit too....:)

Read some older threads (just seach for alloy wheels) and you'll see that up to 16's and even 17's have successfully been fitted to Doblo's with no adverse affect on steering, suspension, tyre wear etc.

Let us know what you decide (y)

Thanks Ozzie

I'm not going to move too quick on this one (y) as I've just put new rubber on the front and my rears were reeally expensive as they had to be specially ordered :yuck:

I'll have a root through the forum :)

Your welcome! Funnily enough I'm looking into them at the moment, and have decided to buy a set of Panda (New Shape) Sporting 14" alloys as they are a straight fit onto the Doblo and I can use the tyres off my steelies for now as they fit fine. When I next change my tyres then, I'll go for a 195 instead of a 175 so I get a bit more width :)

Here's the link to my thread!

Thanks for that Ozzie they are really nice, pity they're only 14's though. :spin:

OZZIE STOP !!!!!

I've just looked at your thread on the Panda section and I've spotted a problem with the wheels you're thinking of buying.

They're upside down ! I guess they are intended for us in Australia. Lucky I spotted this before you paid - You'd have looked a right fool.

No probs guys with bigger wheels on the Doblo . I run 17" TSW Catalunya with 215/40/17 Yokohama Parada! No trouble with plenty of room to spare and a similar rolling radius.:)

Sorry, but I'm new to this site. If someone can explain how best I go about attaching an image of my Doblo with the 17"s I'll post it for all to see on this thread. Thanks.

Hi Mr Angel

Welcome to the forum.

17's eh bloody huge!! (y) Nicely done. Do they afffect you acceleration? That's always a concern of mine when widening rubber.

Ozzie will be able to tell you how to post a pic of your wheels. (y)

To post a picture just reply to the post, click on the small paperclip at the side of the smiley face at the top of the box where you type in your reply, it brings up a new window. Browse for your pictures on your computer then click 'Upload'. Once it's uploaded and they show in the window (please wait for this) then close that window. Come back to where you are entering your reply, click on the small arrow next to the paperclip, and select which photo you want to insert. You can then move them around as you please.

Oh and welcome to the forum from me... Ozzie :D

Thats great thanks. Just one prob though, I am one of the chaps involved in a, erm hmmm hmmm, tuning company hence Mr Angel (if you are familiar with a certain Co of the same name...though we are all Italian car nuts :) . I'll try and stick a pic or two on and if it's a problem I'll understand if you remove it  .
Many thanks again. Oh, and a great web site!!!

It does work, but it's easier for others on the forum if you unpack that zipped document and upload each picture individually. That way you get a preview of the picture then too.

Yes I am. If you've managed to open the zip file ok you'll probably have figured this out :-D

Mmmm I want those wheels :p:p:p How are you managing with the weight ratings etc. with the tyres?

I've uploaded the picture from the Zip file so that people who want to see it can click here instead:

Are you a part of angel tuning? Or another company with a similar name?
YES. I run a part of Angel Tuning along with Nigel and Andy except my patch is Scotland and Ireland. If you haven't had a remap on your Doblo yet, you really need to get it done ;-) I'm sure we could sort something for you (wink wink!).

That's fantastic thanks. As for the weight rating on the tyres...I don't really carry alot of weight around in the back. It's probably no worse than a large estate car :)
