Hi,
This is my first posting, you guys seem to know what you are talking about.
Doblo JTD 2003 about 74000 miles had a timing belt fiitted ticking squeak
appeared at tickover when cold.Ancilary belt and tensioner fitted noise got worse any ideas guys?.Heard of sombody having similar on an Alfa and Doblo
but can not remember cause tensioner may be?

Don't worry I was only teasing ;)

I still call them fan belts cause all the Ford's I've worked on with my father over the years have had fan belts, heck his current Transit still has a belt driven fan! Takes about 10 miles for the heater to output anything other than below zero in the winter :p

I have just been doing a search of the net & they are still called fan belts.

I guess it's properly a power steering and alternator drive belt not to mention air con pump if indeed it's driven by the same belt  I guess it's easier to call it a fan belt :D

I do believe there is a aerosol spray sold to cure squeaking rubber belts.

Thanks ozzie1989 for keeping this subject tight.Checked this morning noise still there. Its is an actuall "chirp".It has had a new auxillary belt all the allied pulleys and tensioners plus water pump.Take the auxillary belt off start from cold. No noise i think faulty new tensioner because it is louder now than before the above items were changed. Thanks for you input guys.

LUKHYGO!

Also double check theres no contaminents (liquids such as oil, power steering fluid) on any of the pulleys/belt as even the smallest amount could cause a slight slip :)

Herby, I have a similar problem with my Suzuki Grand Vitara. Took it to the garage and the guy sprayed the belt with WD40 and it went. Apparently its a problem with the modern poly drive belts, if they get contaminated....
