she passed but
both front lower suspension arms rear mounting bushes starting to wear
also oil leak from engine gearbox, any idea of cost to fix these two? apart from that she was all ok

The bushes aren't that expensive to buy, although unless you do them yourself you'll pay more for labour than the bushes! The reason they're probably worn is the front suspension on the Passenger version (if you have this :chin is weaker than on the Cargo version yet carries pretty much the same weight! Why Fiat skimped on this I don't know

The gearbox leak could be so many things it's impossible to say a cost, could just be a simple gasket or something more serious, get your normally used garage to take a look at it.

By the way, if you can try and use a local independant garage that you know and trust rather than a Fiat one now you're warrantys up, you'll save yourself a bomb in labour costs

Something to consider.

The garage that service/repair Mrs_Gs Cargo use Valvoline oils. According to the guy there the Cargo had a slight oil weap when we first took it to him. Since then its been serviced using Valvoline oil and the weap has stopped. Apparently the oil has an additive that 'conditions' oil seals.

Now it could just be a load of waffle but I have no reason to doubt what the guy at the garage is saying. After all he could have said the weap needs fixing and charged us for changing an oil seal.(I now trust this chap 100%, he's saved us a HUGE amount of money with his honest, no nonsense way of doing business).

Perhaps an oil change, using Valvoline oil, might be a cheap fix in your situation.
