I'm not a mad/bad driver, I'm very very civilised and people comment on my safe driving... but see other thread, I don't mind proving that to you all!

Wish I'd never mentioned the 100MPH thing now
Surely 100 mph is bad driving & not very civilised for other drivers. At that speed if somebody pulls out in front of you driving at 70 mph you would have trouble slowing down. If you would have been caught you would have been banned. That is why you should take your IAM.

If the IAM STOPS everyone from speeding maybe it should be compulsory for everyone  not just a poor Doblo driver :D

Guys, just forget I ever did 100 ok? It was a one off, apart from that I am civilised, I know what could have happened and I know the consiquences of my actions.

Phil doesn't get all the abuse cause he's an older more experienced driver... I do!

Lol it's cause I'm young and "ALL" young drivers are idiots, drive way over the speed limit, etc etc

Well come on then guys don't tell me you've never been over the speed limit or done something you shouldn't have on the road... except Steve he's a good driver :D

All is is forgiven. I think we have all done stupid & dangerous things while driving & probably do it everyday so we don't realise it.

is 100 in a doblo dangerous? spose it could be if there was a cross wind lol

but really, most motorway users travel around 80-90 mark in daylight and then it all picks up when the sun goes down, see people flying past me while i'm doing 60 trying to save petrol

well, been running around for a week now in the Doblo and its dreadful fuel consumption doesn't seem so quite so dreadful.

38mpg in town is increasing to around 46mpg in town, and looks like it'll go higher.

also, cruise got fitted yesterday - and i swear you can see an improvement already. i'm a big cruise fan especially when i'm not hurrying anywhere. it'll be interesting to see how this tank does in the next few days.

I'm glad your MPG is improving (y)

Sorry for us lot hijacking your thread up there

Might be worth you posting a thread in a while once you've fiddled about with the cruise control a bit as it might help other users as a few people have asked about it... maybe even a few photos ;)

My 03 JTD has 50,000 miles on it and gives me about 53 mpg on the meter over the M62 at 80mph - that's one hilly motorway. I expect much much more if I drove at 70 on a flat motorway. I checked that on the actual fuel and it seemed about right. (y)

I've not had it long, but urban was around the same until I got stuck stopped in an hour-long jam the other day, when it went down to 46mpg.

Its a stunning motor and great car to drive. I've not enjoyed driving anything this much (including a trusty VW van) since my orange 1974 Audi 100 I had about 10 years ago. :slayer:

Something about the handling and the driving position. It feels like you're driving Postman Pat's van, but its turbo charged and goes round corners!

just got new dobby with 1.9 105 multijet..after 1200 miles averaging ( according to trip computer) 43-45 mpg.. Previous 1.9 jtd dobby was averaging 52-54mpg. Hope this one improves with age.
