:) doblo owner nearly one year........use as working vehicle during the week and estate car/mpv at weekends. Has anybody experienced "squeaking" rear suspension when driving over those b....y speed bumps? Dont know if i have a problem or not! Other wise very pleased with vehicle. Hi to everyone

Firstly welcome to the forum :D and thanks for the "Hi"

Nah you've not got a problem there, mine does it too! I think because it's only a single leaf spring it's probably quite hard to hold the weight of - I think - 600kg payload in the back so it will squeak but I find it does it when there's no load on the back. If there's a load it tends not to happen as they are weighed down a bit :)

This squeaking seems a common problem. Mine does it. The fault in my opinion is the non rubber grease lubrication of the anti roll bar at the rear, especially the drivers side where the bush is over the exhaust. I do not think the bushes are lubricated on assembly and they "dry out". Do you find that the squeak gets less or even goes away in wet weather? Mine does.

I did report it under warranty and they said they had lubricated the bushes, but when I inspected the work they had just sprayed the area with lubricant. It did the trick, but was only a temporary measure as the squeak returned. I have resorted to spraying motorcycle chain lubricant on them myself, which works for a time.

The problem is the exhaust and fuel tank will have to be removed to properly put rubber lubricant in the bush which is over the exhaust. A BIG job for a little, but annoying, problem......Should be done on initial build!

thanks for quick response.....do you think its worth taking back to main dealer before first year warr. is up? Not terribly computer literate so still feeling my way around!!!!!!!

Yes, you should get them to rectify it. No modern, (and new), vehicle should squeak or groan as the suspension moves. I am lucky in that I have enough experience to usually diagnose the fault prior to the garage getting involved. But if it is the bushes you will have a good garage if they actually remove the anti roll bar to do a "proper job"! .......let us all know what happens.

ya, face the squeeze problem after 1 year and half on my doblo too.
just like as twosheds advised , seems like somemore parts/connectors of the leafspring ( towards the rear had rusted) some oil/gease fixed it, so far so good .. will try to get some pics up later..

and yes, if it's under warrenty, let them fix it :)
